Star Tribune post: Students present the value of Dual Credit to St. Paul School Board

SPPS students Khalique Rogers and Jennifer Reyes Gomez at the St. Paul Board of Education meeting Tuesday October 15, 2013

St. Paul students Khalique Rogers (of Gordon Parks High School) and Jennifer Reyes Gomez (of AGAPE High School) recently made a presentation to the School Board.  They read essays they had written for CSC’s Jump Start Booklet about earning free college credit while they are in high school, and the positive impact this has had on their lives.

The Star Tribune posted about them on their “Class Act” education blog the next day. Check it out at http://www.startribune.com/local/blogs/228031221.html.

Congratulations to these two fine students and their high schools, who are showcasing what can be accomplished by our youth when we give them the opportunity.
